This episode is
heavily inspired by Star Wars
Chitron 6 resembles C-3PO in voice and appearance
Astor's strategy to lose the Squoomians by flying into an
asteroid ring is a direct nod to the asteroid field sequence
from The Empire Strikes Back
The Squoomian targeting computer resembles the TIE Fighter
targeting system
The failed hyperdrive system is a standard plot device in
the Star Wars films
Jack disguises himself as one of Aku's henchmen just as Luke
Skywalker and Han Solo disguise themselves as Imperial
Stormtroopers aboard the Death Star
Aku senses Jack's presence in his lair, just as Darth Vader
sensed Obi-Wan Kenobi's presence on the Death Star
Notable dialogue directly referencing Star Wars:
- "You are our only hope"
- "Ha-ha, We lost of of 'em" "Great... but don't get cocky"
- "I have a bad feeling about this"
- "Aren't you a little short for a... ?" "Oh, the uniform...
I'm here to rescue you" |
Footage from Episode
I is used as Jack flashes back to his past as Verbina explains
the situation on Chrysalis

Jeremy's Review |
|
A fun episode filled
with Star Wars references but one of the weaker ones overall.
Though Jack saves the day once again, Astor and Verbina are the true
lead characters of this chapter. The action is pretty standard,
hurting this episode's overall score. B
